this pie was fantastic!!! my husband is begging me to make more.... i made a couple of changes per previous user's suggestions...egg white on the bottom crust, added cinnamon/vanilla/nutmeg to syrup mixture, and i poured 3/4 over the apples and 1/4 over the lattice crust one other change: we had to use cortlands cause that is what we had been picking today...i will try granny smiths next time...but overall a fabulous pie

This was a great, old-fashioned shortcake and a big hit at my BBQ last night! I did follow the suggestions of others by reducing the baking soda to 2 tsp & used butter i/o shortening...thanks for the suggestions!

i was looking for a unique shrimp recipe and came across this one....my family absolutely LOVED it!! there was none leftover for my husband to take to work the next day :( next time, i will have to double the recipe! thanks!
