Steak Pie

This was a little salty. I used cubed eye of round and pie crust, I followed directions exactly other than that. I will make this again making my own gravy. It was good.

Bohemian Pork Roast

I liked it. The herb combination was excellent, and may use it on fish or chicken. I cooked in a crockpot and placed the herbs right on it. Wow, the gravy was excellent!

Cincinnati Chili I

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
My roommate went to college at Cincinnati Christian University and ate this a lot. I tried it and it was different. Good, but different. My roommate said this was like Skyline. He loved it! I will make it again for some Ohioans at church.

Springfield Style Cashew Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2007
Trying to cut carbs, I just sauteed the chicken. THE SAUCE WAS OUTSTANDING. I made this for a former Springfield resident, and she said the sauce was just like it. It was better than takeout. THANKS FOR A GREAT RECIPE!

This was good. I used it for saute chicken to be a little healthier. I accidently added too much red crushed pepper. IT WAS OUTSTANDING! WILL MAKE AGAIN AND AGAIN!

Roast Chicken with Cracked Peppercorn Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2007
I used chicken broth and a little red cooking wine instead of vermouth ( I just do not keep alcohol on hand). I also seasoned the chicken with a teaspoon each of poultry seasoning, dried rosemary, and dried parsley. The chicken turned out scrumptious. THE CRACKED PEPPERCORN SAUCE IS AWESOME! I had it over mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus.

This was EXCELLENT! I did not have nutmeg, so I used Pumpkin Pie Spice. I would highly recommend using a blender to combine the ingredients. THESE WERE FLUFFY AND GOOD!

Quick Hoppin' John Soup

THIS WAS GREAT! I added some Emeril's Essence and used smoked sausage rather than sage dressing. I ate on it all week and shared with a co-worker. It was great and will do again!

Frank's Famous Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2006
I gave it a four star because I followed other's advice by using a teaspoon of each basil, oregano, and italian seasoning. I also used the Italian style of stewed tomatoes. Other than than those changes, it is awesome! I now use this as my go to Marinara sauce. Thanks!

Iowa Maid-Rites

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2006
I have never had an Iowa Maid-Rites... so I cannot compare them to that. However, THIS sandwich was extremely tasty. I am single, so I made it as is and then I am about to freeze it. Later, with a little diced tomato and chiles, a great little nacho plate. I love it! GREAT JOB!

Spicy Garlic and Pepper Shrimp

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2005
This is a GREAT recipe!! I first made it for a group of friends... they now ask for it again and again. I have used chicken, small scallops and even served it over rice instead of cabbage. To add a little flavor, I add a little oriental spice mixture (Emiril's Asian Seasoning) to give it a little depth. THIS IS GREAT!!
