These are just beyond-words fabulous. I omitted the raisins, added 1 tsp. fresh lemon zest, and sprinkled the tops with coarse white sugar before baking. Everyone thought I had purchased them from a bakery. Wonderful recipe!

This recipe didn't work for me at all. It was somehow wet and crumbly at the same time, and it was impossible to work with. It also didn't make enough for a top and bottom crust. I added salt and sugar, which helped with the flavor. Overall, I won't be making this again.

Well... I might be the only one, but I had problems with this recipe. In my opinion, it was way too sweet. I cut into it while it was still warm and the inside was so liquidy that it completely seeped out from the rest of the pie. I thought it would firm up overnight as it cooled, but it was still very liquidy this morning. The caramel was a nice addition. If I make this again, I will omit the taffy step and add more flour to the apple mixture.

I've made caramels from a few different recipes, and this one is my favorite. I do, however, tweak it quite a bit. First, I only use 1 cup corn syrup. I boil the sugar and corn syrup to 350 degrees, then remove from heat and add butter (only about 1 stick, usually less) and 1 tsp. salt. Then I add the cream to the mixture, but I heat it first. Add the hot cream in a slow stream while stirring constantly, then return to the heat and boil to 250 degrees. Comes out perfect every time.

I just wasn't impressed with this recipe. You may appreciate this recipe if you like softer caramel, but I prefer a more chewy caramel and this was too soft for my liking. It also tasted VERY strongly of brown sugar instead of the buttery, mellow flavor of caramel. It was easy to make and the directions were good. However, I won't be making these again.

I seriously love cream cheese, but the filling for this chicken was just too much for me. Next time, I'll probably tweak the filling and use half cream cheese and half feta cheese, just to cut the overpowering taste/texture of the cream cheese. I'll also add more garlic and some onion instead of the chives... maybe add some parsley for color. I used regular bacon and topped each piece of chicken with parmesan cheese, which got brown and crispy and yummy.

I've tried this recipe three times. The first time I used diet Pepsi and ketchup. It came out grossly sweet and I threw it away. A friend told me to be sure to use Diet Coke, so the second time I did. It was very blah; tasted like sweet ketchup to me but I thought it could have potential. So the third time I tried to liven it up with 2 cloves garlic, 1/2 a minced onion, 1/2 a minced green pepper, white pepper, and a dash of worstershire sauce. The additions actually made it worse. I'm sorry, but this absolutely didn't work for me.

YUM!! Here's what I did differently: I layered it with crust, cream cheese filling, pie filling, and crust crumbles, no top cream layer. I also reduced the milk to 3 tbsp. and folded a tub of Cool Whip into the cream cheese layer. It kept its shape wonderfully and was so creamy and wonderful... When I make this again, I have to be sure to take it to some kind of function for others to share, or I'll eat the whole thing.

These are great cookies, and a very forgiving recipe! I reluctantly had to use margarine (it was all I had) for these and they still turned out great. I followed previous suggestions and used 1/4 cup extra margarine, and I had to make my own confectioner's sugar in the blender because I didn't have any. Instead of vanilla and almond extracts, I used the contents of two vanilla beans. Also tinted them pink for a baby shower. I'll definitely make these again.

The first time I made this recipe, it was perfect. Each subsequent attempt, though, has yielded completely FLAT cookies, even after chilling the dough for hours. Tried it twice last night and had to throw out both batches. Finally on my third attempt, I substituted shortening for half the butter and they held a fairly decent shape. Next time I'll sub 2/3 of the butter with shortening and they should be pretty good. The flavor isn't very exciting and I don't think the pudding adds anything to the recipe. Next time I'll add extra vanilla.

Fabulous. I made it with chicken breasts and substituted Sazon con culantro y achiote for the achiote seeds. Excellent, excellent, excellent.

Great recipe.. I added 7 large green olives, diced, and 2 tbsp. capers. Really, really good.

Fabulous!! I added 1 green onion and seasoned it with salt and pepper. This is definitely a keeper.

This sounds really strange, but it was very, very good and very refreshing. I used a mix of baby greens with fresh herbs for the lettuce portion of the salad. The combination of the shrimp (I grilled them) and the mild sweetness of the blueberries was surprisingly good. I did think the dressing had too much mint and next time I'll only use a small amount. I will also add some finely minced onion to the dressing and possibly some capers. This dish was a great surprise!

I'm giving this recipe three stars because, in my opinion, this was just an average chocolate chip cookie recipe, and the cookies didn't come out like I expected at all. I made this twice - the first time, I followed the recipe EXACTLY and the cookies came out thin, flat, and crunchy with only a tiny chewy spot in the middle (I didn't overbake). The second time, I tried using softened butter instead of melted butter, and they came out only marginally better. I've had much better-tasting cookies than these, and they just weren't what the recipe said they'd be. Won't be making these again. Very disappointed.

YUM!!!!! This was great. I cut back on the peppers (personal preference) and used 1/3 cup fresh parsley and 1/3 cup fresh basil. This was wonderful and got rave reviews.

This was okay, in my opinion. Instead of frying the tortilla strips, I buy plain tortilla chips and throw them in. I had to add more chili powder and omitted the corn (personal preference). It wasn't the best tortilla soup I've had, but it wasn't the worst. I'd make it again with some tweaking.

I always cook beef in the slow cooker, and I've never had the need to add a stick of butter to it. It was lots of unnecessary fat that made the dish too greasy and didn't add to the flavor of the beef at all. You're much better off using a can of cream of mushroom soup along with the packet of soup mix to get a good gravy. Won't make this again.

When these cookies first came out of the oven, I thought they were too sweet and I also thought that coating them completely in sesame seeds was too much. After they sat for a day, they had virtually no taste/sweetness at all. They were pretty cookies, but eating one was like chewing on a bland crunchy biscuit covered with sesame seeds. It definitely needed something extra.

I am so happy with this recipe! It was so easy... I accidentally spilled some of the water bath into the flan before baking it and it still turned out great. I made two flans: one exactly as the recipe stated, and for the second I only used 4 eggs and substituted 12 oz mixed-berry flavored cream cheese for the 8 oz. regular. Tastes exactly like the cheese flan a friend used to make in Puerto Rico. This is definitely a keeper.
