Spiced Bacon Twists

Quite tasty. Didn't have mustard in spice form, so I used dijon mustard instead. It made sort of a paste which I crumbled over the bacon and pressed it into the bacon. This worked very well.

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

I used shitake and enoki mushrooms and Japanese rice, and added 1/2 an onion with the shallots, and added 200g diced shrimp. It was wonderful. I'll be getting some tonight, so thanks!

Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon with Port Wine Sauce

Absolutely wonderful. I subbed a Cab/Shiraz for the port, and used sweet red onion, leaving everything else the same. My wife said she felt like she was in an expensive restaurant. Well done!

Easy Paella

this recipe was great. I kinda free-styled it, as my wife always cooks rice in the rice cooker and then we freeze it... I tossed the garlic, chicken (added some cabbage) and onions and such in a pan and tossed them around for a while, and then added some small clams instead of shrimp, and let it cook on medium for a while... in a seperate pan, I browned the garlic, and then tossed in some reheated rice, and added the chicken stock... once it got boiling, and added the other pot, and folded it in... I came out excellent... I think this is a recipe that allows you liberty, which is the best kind of recipe... good on ya!

Apple Pie I

What can I say that hasn't been said 65 times before? Easy, and delicious. The best apple pie I've ever tasted, and the first one I've ever made... (And yes, I added the 3 T of flour too... just do it...)
