I just didn't like this. It didn't taste as custardy as I like my French toast to taste. I gave all of it away to a friend, who loved it. I used Challah bread.

This was pretty tasty. It was fast and simple. I subbed yogurt for the sour cream, and that was just fine. I think I quadrupled the curry paste, but I didn't keep track. I also added a touch of honey for some sweetness; It could have used some garlic powder and lime juice but I didn't have any. All in all, this was something I would make again.

This was wonderful! I replaced the celery with a can of corn, and I also increased the onion. I didn't exactly measure the curry; I just added to taste. The other change was that I used a stick blender to make it a lot smoother. It got rave reviews from everyone who ate it! Cheap, healthy, fast, and delicious. Perfect!

This was just okay. My changes: I doubled the onion, added some minced garlic, subbed zucchini for the yellow squash, and didn't pre-saute any of the items. I also omitted the two additional table spoons of butter, because 1/4 cup is enough to be pouring all over innocent vegetables. Nothing terrible, nothing great...just okay. At least I used up some of my zucchini!

I used Splenda instead of sugar, added 1/3 of a cup of canned pumpkin, one square of unsweetened baking chocolate, and omitted the coffee. These came out looking like beautiful, real brownies! The texture was soft and medium dense. The taste, though? Sort of eggy. It grows on you, though. Would add maybe another chocolate square or the coffee to give it some more depth, or maybe even use two eggs instead of three. My version has 82 calories per square versus the recipe's 127. Will update if I play around with it a bit more.

Delicious! So flexible. I was looking for a recipe without mayo (ew), and this is the best one I could find. I omitted all of the sour cream, and added way more garlic than called for to counteract the cream cheese. I also added lemon juice and freshly ground black pepper.

I tried this recipe once, and my frosting simply refused to form stiff peaks. I beat it for over 40 minutes (using a hand mixer). This is probably my fault--I must have poured in the sugar mixture too quickly. This recipe is fairly delicate...it's pretty (even if it wasn't stiff, but I don't know if it is worth the effort! Also, a very sweet frosting. I'm going to give it a try again. Will update if my results work out any better! UPDATE: Yeah, still didn't work out for me. I made sure to add the sugar mixture very slowly, made sure it boiled and was fully dissolved, and still I get nothing. I did add a dash of salt to the mixture, just to balance all of that sugar.

I made this because we had pretty much no food in the house, and I could make this without going grocery shopping. This was surprisingly tasty! I took a reviewer's suggestion and used corn starch instead of flour, and added red pepper flakes for a bit of a kick.

I added the whole can of pumpkin, and it didn't seem to affect the rising time. Did increase the pumpkin flavor. Lovely rolls, will make again.

I put this over brown rice instead of on pizza dough because I was too lazy to make my own and didn't have any store bought lying around the house. I subbed herbs de provence for the thyme and fennel, which actually worked out well. I would say this is delicious, but on the dry side.

This was delicious, cheap, and easy! I made a few changes by subbing in beef broth (it was all I had) for the chicken and herbs de provence for the dried thyme (ditto). I didn't bother pureeing it because the lentils were cooked until soft. My Dad thought this was too sweet, but both my Mom and I loved it.

Very easy and delicious! Makes a ton--cut down on the water but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. My father still asks for it.

Delicious, healthy, fast and easy. What more could you ask for? I added more curry and some ginger to the mix.

Good basic recipe, but lacked flavor. I used 1/2 cup bread crumbs, two eggs, and added some minced garlic. Also added juice of half of one lemon, chili powder, some jalapeno, and honey. Broiled in the oven instead of frying. Good way to use canned salmon.

This is actually surprisingly delicious. I had no problem cooking up my lentils (although they didn't get very tender, it's true. But I like them better that way) with the 2 cups of broth. The truffle oil is wonderful. This is my first time making lentils and I'm surprised at how much I like it. I would absolutely make this recipe again.

I made this at the last minute because I wanted something with rice and tofu and didn't know what else to do. I added carrots, a whole onion, and a little over a cup of the bean sprouts. I also used two eggs and some tofu in order to try and up the protein content. I didn't have time to refrigerate my brown rice, so it came out with a weird texture. But it was tasty, and that was the most important thing. Oh, I also added some rice wine vinegar to it to give it some more of a kick. Also, cheap!

These were decent. I liked them, but my parents did not. I thought they were a bit on the dry side and a little too sweet. I did like the earl grey flavor, though! I don't know if I would make them again.

Wow, easy and delicious. I also used frozen passionfruit juice and followed the reviewers advice to refrigerate overnight. Mine set without a problem. Perfect make ahead dessert for a tropical themed dinner party. Beware, though--it's rich! Edited to add that it freezes surprisingly well, too!

I actually thought this was delicious. I cut back on the olive oil and upped the garlic. I also used fresh sage (which I think made a big difference). I subbed butter beans, as well. This recipe hit my requirements for being cheap and easy, as well as reasonably healthy. I will def. make again!
