Cheese Herb Bread

Delicious! This was the best bread I've made yet. Definitely need to use less yeast, though, it did reach the top of my machine and then cave in. I used fresh herbs from my garden.

Great flavor! Next time I would use shredded vegetable pieces insted of chunks. Also, the recipe calls for way too much cucumber -- use less!

Fruit Salad in Seconds

Delicious and simple! I used apples instead of bananas and cut all the fruit the night before. Then the morning of the brunch I stirred in the yogurt. Delicious, especially with granola!

Cream Puffs

Delicious! This was a fun recipe -- I had never made cream puffs before. I followed a lot of reviewers' suggestions. I added 1/2 tsp. vanilla to the pudding mix, used white chocolate pudding, an put the pudding mixture into a ziplock bag to mix (less dishes to wash and then cut off a small corner to use as a pastry bag). For the puff shells, I added 1 tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla, let the dough micture cool for about 10 minutes before adding the eggs and mixing in my stand mixer, and then made the dough balls on the baking sheet small (quarter sized). I baked them at 425 degrees for 10 mins., then at 375 degrees for 15 minutes, and then I turned off the oven and cracked the door and let them sit for 5-10 minutes. Thanks for all the great suggestions and a great recipe, they came out perfectly!

Chicken-and-Pasta Bake with Basil

Delicious! Great subtle flavor, and the cheese sauce is rich without being too heavy. Another reviewer said they did not like the broccoli/basil combination, but I thought theh flavors mixed well! I'll definitely make this again.

Fresh Strawberry Pie I

Sooo good! I made this for a potluck and got rave reviews. Like many reviewers, I sliced the strawberries. I also doubled the glaze filling amount but didn't use all of it, so maybe I would one and a half it next time. It took a much longer time to set in the fridge than suggested in the recipe, but maybe that's because I used extra glaze. I used a store bought shortbread crust. Delicious!

Strawberry Cinnamon Oatmeal Muffins

Very tasty! They were defintely not super sweet (I tend to like muffins sweeter...), but that may also be because my strawberries weren't very sweet. But the flavor was good and they were very easy to make. I filled the muffin cups almost to the top and was nervous they would rise too high, so I didn't quite use all of the batter. However, they did not rise much higher than they started, so feel free to fill the cups to the top. Mine baked perfectly in 18 minutes.
