About this Cook
I'm now 30 years old and I have been married to a wonderful man since the early age of 17. We love spending time together and cooking is one of our passions. We really love camping and cooking over an open fire. We also love BBQ's!
My favorite things to cook
Oh wow.. My favorite things to cook.. this is hard because I enjoy cooking many things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I enjoy cooking large holiday dinners with my family and having huge cookouts and bbqs.
My cooking triumphs
I would say learning to cook over an open fire and cooking 18th & 19th century authentic foods was my hardest, but most enjoyed now.

Egg in a Hole
My mother used to make these, and I still make them today. We call them "Birds Nests", but as said here before there are many names. The only thing I do different is use butter.

Campfire Foil Onion
This recipe is a whole lot better if you place a chicken or beef cube in the middle of the onion before you wrap in foil. Still a good recipe.

Chow Mein Clusters
I agree with other posters, this recipe is also called "Haystacks". My grandmother made them and I continue to do so. I make a batch of chocolate ones also. Just use chocolate chips instead. Great recipe. :)
