About this Cook
I am a 30 something mother to 4 girls. I am a stay at home mom that never stays at home. I teach fitness classes to burn off all of the baking that I do in the long Wisconsin winters. There is never a boring day or nothing to do in our family. My girls share my love for cooking. I have a wine business and am passionate about food and wine pairing.
My favorite things to cook
I love, love, love to bake. Cookies of all kind or my favorite. I love grilling everything in the summer especially all of the garden veggies. You name it we grill it. In the cooler months (and we have alot of them) I love soups, stews and baking breads. No recipe intimidates me. I will try anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Saturday morning blueberry pancakes with homemade blueberry syrup. Holiday baking! We start in November and do not stop until the end of December. Every year I look forward to the annual cookie exchange that I host at our home. I usually start planning for that in late August.
My cooking triumphs
My own recipe for Chocolate Coconut Cookies. I just started adding what sounded right and nailed the recipe the first time.
My cooking tragedies
EEEEEK...too many to count!

Pumpkin Pancakes
These pancakes were light and fluffy and not too sweet. The only modification I made was to double the recipe and add extra milk (about 1/4 to 1/2 cup). Served with regular maple syrup. YUM!

Cold Oven Pound Cake
This is a great recipe I took half a cup of sugar away and it is still very sweet but thats good because I have a sweet tooth. In this recipe you could put in beries, any zest or what ever you like! Instead of margrine and shorting you could se butter. I took cream chesee frosting and melted it in the microwave and drizzeld it on top. This is great will make again!
