About this Cook
I love the idea of living life to the fullest... I'm a jump first, look later type (which has gotten me into some sticky situations). I am honest to a fault... life is to short for lies and betrayal.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook italian and it's what I'm best at. I love simple recipes I can make quickly. I don't really have a taste for gourmet, but I love to try new ethinicities when I cook.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My absolute favorite cooking traditon is Sunday afternoon dinner. Growing up in CT, the whole family would meet at my Nana's for dinner after the morning church service. Unfortunatly, the family spread out across the States and now we can't manage to get everyone together for any meal, including holiday's (another favorite tradition).
My cooking triumphs
I finally mastered my Nana's pasta sauce... it took around 6 years.
My cooking tragedies
too many things to list... I may love to cook, but I tend to experiment a little to much.

American Lasagna
I love this recipe... I'm sure over time I've done things to make it my own, but it makes a delicious lasagna all on its own.

Sugar Cookie Frosting
This was perfect for our cookies! The colors took really well. I was a little grainy, but it went away after it dried. The taste was wonderful!!! Sweet, but not sicking, perfect!

French Toast Casserole
We just made this for brunch after I realized our brisket went way bad. It was very good! I was even able to halve the recipe with out it coming out poorly. Highly recommended!
