About this Cook
I'm a professional singer, teacher and vocal coach. I taught Microwave cooking classes in the 1980's when people were learning how to use their new microwaves. I was a consultant for the Litton co.
My favorite things to cook
By far anything where I can be creative-salads, soups, main courses, etc. I'm not as interested in baking, and not as good at it either.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Entertaining and cooking for others. I especially love to surprise friends and family with home delivered dishes.
My cooking triumphs
I won a recipe contest for the NYstate university food service. A recipe for a cream cheese chicken salsa pizza won for the whole state, and it was added to the college dining menu.
My cooking tragedies
Last one was a pineapple cake-made it twice with no problems, last time it was a brick!

Easy Grilled Lemon Chicken
This recipe certainly was easy, and lo-cal, which is what I was looking for. I did add 1 tsp. of minced garlic. It seemed to need it along with the soy/ginger combination. I marinated it a few hours, which made it flavorful and tender. So easy, inexpensive, and delicious!

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza
I'm a gal from Buffalo,(and real chicken wing lovers!) and my whole family enjoyed this easy, yummy recipe. I used less dressing than stated, as I was worried about it making the crust soggy. I cooked it directly on the oven rack which kept the crust crispy like we like it. This was delicious-don't hesitate!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies VI
These cookies were good, but a little flat. In the last batch in the oven I added a little salt. It made a big difference. I also added some pecans, which I just happen to like in my oatmeal cookies!
