About this Cook
My love for baking started when I was just a little girl. After getting out of school & working in an office setting for several years, I realized how much I hated getting up to go to work every morning for a job I had no passion for. So what did I do? Quit working in the office altogether & enrolled myself in culinary school to become a professional pastry chef. I'm sure you can guess that *now*, I LOVE MY WORK!!!! Getting up & going to work has never been so easy & fun :-).
My favorite things to cook
DESSERTS, DESSERTS, DESSERTS!!! I also love trying new savory recipes from various regions, as mentioned in the "Cooking Interests" section of my profile.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Traditional Korean dishes. Bibim Bap (hot clay pot with rice & veggies), Mandu (Korean dumplings), Kimchi (spicy cabbage side dish).
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I cook meat for my fiance & it coming out well is a triumph for me! I only eat chicken on a rare occasion so I know how to cook that well but all other meats are a challenge since I don't eat them!
My cooking tragedies
Not a tragedy but it was quite funny... I made chocolate cups using blown up water balloons, w/o water of course, and the last balloon I dipped to make a cup EXPLODED all over me! It went all over my kitchen, the ceiling...EVERYWHERE. This was years ago but I still find bits of chocolate in weird places every now & then :-).

Garlic Bread Fantastique
Pretty good! However, I only used: butter, minced garlic, oregano, 1/8 tsp. of garlic salt (instead of reg. salt) & a few pinches of pepper. I also added a bit of paprika. Using mayo seemed weird to me & I'm not a fan of mayo anyways, so I left it out. My boyfriend & I enjoyed it :-).
