About this Cook
I have been married for 6 years. I have two little girls, a three year old and a 7 month old. My family is the most important thing in the whole world to me. As for my cooking profile, I have been cooking since I was 10 and joined the 4-H. As a young teenager I started making cakes and pastries from scratch, something my mom never did. When I got in High School I took all the cooking classes that I could. A couple of years ago I became a Pampered Chef Consultant. Cooking is so much fun for me. If Full Time Mother wasn't my career, I'd love to own my own bakery.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking desserts! That is when I do my best cooking. After 2 kids I know I shouldn't do the desserts as much, but I usually do share them with my neighbors before my husband eats it all. So I guess I really don't eat much of the desserts that I bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My 3 year old, Hannah, loves helping me cook. She stirs things and pours things and of course licks the spoon all clean. She has actually gotten good at cracking eggs too.
My cooking triumphs
I love potluck dinners where I can show off my baking. I feel so proud when people ask "Who made this dessert?" or "Who made this salad?" and I take home an empty dish. I especially like sharing food with my mom and grandma, and feel so happy when they compliment the food I make. I can't say that I'm proud when my husband compliments my cooking, he'll eat anything!
My cooking tragedies
I don't have any "tragedies" except for when I get distracted if I'm cooking with my daughter and find that she has crushed the whole egg into the batter, or had emptied out my flour container onto the table.

Basic Baked Spaghetti
Fantastic! I am giving this 5 stars because my husband, who has many times told me he hates spaghetti, ate this up! I used sharp cheddar and parmaean cheese. Next time I will use mozerella as well. I also added an exta can of tomato sauce with some basil thrown in, as it seemed too dry at first. Thanks for this way to get my hubby to eat spaghetti!

Green Bean Casserole I
This is the recipe someone in my huge extended family always makes every year for Thanksgiving. When it is my turn I like to add a couple extras. I add a can of sliced water chestnuts, and sprinkle crumbled cooked bacon on top along with the French Fried onions. Yummy!
