My Love
About this Cook
I'm a 24 year old, make-up artist, from NY and I love to cook! When I was growing up I always wanted to be a chef, but through high school I wasn't much into cooking anymore and realized my dream was to be a make up artist so that's my career of choice. I've recently started getting into cooking again and, although I don't want to do it professionally, I still love to do it and follow recipes well. I'm also getting pretty good at making things up, which is always fun!
My favorite things to cook
Anything chicken! Lol, I love it. I also like to bake and I love cooking very easy things that don't take long, but taste great!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandma is the ultimate cook and most of the recipes she has were made up by her. This recent holiday season(2005) she was up visiting and she taught me a few of the dishes that she used to make when I was younger and taught me how to make it, it was really special!
My cooking triumphs
I just recently made a NY style cheesecake with fresh blueberry sauce..Came out AMAZING!
My cooking tragedies
Oh too many to count, but you learn from your mistakes!

Four Cheese Macaroni
Great base recipe, but the next time I make it I will be changing a few things. This time around I used one egg and 1/2cup more half and half. Next time I will leave out the eggs, use a little more half and half, and a lot more of the sharp cheddar and the processed cheese. But, all in all, very good.

Almond-Raspberry Meringue Bars
I've made these two years in a row for the holidays and they are amazing. If you love almond and raspberry these are the perfect bars. So addicting!
