Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

I would have given more stars if given the choice. This is a wonderful chicken...much better than the ones you buy and I thought they were great! I only did one big chicken, but they way it dissapeared so fast, guess I need to do two the next time, and there will definitely be a next time.

Perfection. This is a great and simple soup. You may want to change up the recipe but it certainly isn't necessary. This is gourmet at its easiest!

Kathy's Award Winning Barbeque Sauce

I made the sauce today to put on a left over pork tenderloin. The sauce was a little bland to me...not tangy enough, even with the lemon juice. I added some mustard and I liked the taste better. I left out the liquid smoke too because I just don't care for the artificial smokey flavor. But it really was pretty good after I tweaked to my liking. The consistency is just right, and it has a lovely deep red color.

Cherry Oatmeal Cookies

The coookies looked beautiful, plump with a very nice texture...but the taste was bland. I even added more cherry juice, but followed the rest of the recipe exactly. Maybe if some brown sugar was used. I don't know, probably wont try them again to experiment.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Love this recipe! I added more chicken, so a little more broth, and a can of chili ready diced tomatoes. I also didn't put quite as much jalapenos. It tast wonderful, the aroma while it's cooking is delightful. I simmered it for several hours. I will certainly make this again.

Yellow Chess Cake

There is no way that this cake can turn out as the recipe is written. I am an experienced baker and tried this cake as I was looking for a recipe with ingredients I had on hand. I should have read the reviews first. I agree with another viewer that this probably should have been 1 stick instead of one cup. And there is absolutely no way you can pour the cream cheese mixture. After baking the crust for the 10 minutes it was jusr gooey, then after blobing the stif cream cheese mix on top it just all mixed together. Not wanting to waste my ingredients, I just mixed it all up anyway and put the cherries on top. It is back in the oven for 35 minutes...and well, we will just see how it turns out. Bad I am thinking at this point. I just don't see how it can work. I thought these recipes were tried before they listed them! Folks, don't try this one at home!

Old Fashioned Apple Dumplings

I have never made Apple Dumplings before, but had some great looking apples and thought I would give it a try. I just got them out of the oven and tested my first one... These are so wonderful! and beautiful. I cut the water by a half cup and added more butter than called for. I also used premade pie crust, so it was so easy. I also basted the dumplings a few times with the syrup while they were cooking, gave the dumplings a nice glaze. These are gourmet!

Cinnamon Raisin Bread I

I reduced the recipe to 12 servings which made one perfect loaf. I also added 1/2 cup of raisins to the batter. This is the best and easiest I have ever made. Next time I will make three loaves, because one was gone quickly!

Cola Pot Roast II

This is the best roast! My husband said it's the best he has ever had. I followed the recipe, but rubbed the meat down with kitchen bouquet when I put it in the roasting pan, and took about 20 minutes off the cooking time...which could have just been oven differences. It was fabulous and is now our roast of choice. Thanks so much for the recipe.
