I didn't have time to put this in the slow cooker so I made it on the stove top. My chicken breasts were frozen so I boiled them before placing them on top of the soup mixture and I also sauteed the onions a little bit so they would be soft and also used the recipe for Bill Echol's Taco Seasoning. Otherwise I pretty much followed the recipe as written and it was delicious. Best chicken taco soup I have found.

I have to give this 5 stars since it takes no time to prepare and is quite yummy. The recipe doesn't call for any spices and I was afraid the chicken would be bland, so sprinkled pepper and garlic powder on the chicken before I browned it. I don't know if it improved the taste any. My husband has requested I make this recipe at least twice a month.

I don't have a pressure cooker, but this works just as well in a crockpot. I love recipes where there is minimal preparation in the morning and dinner is ready when you get home in the evening. This is a family favorite. We never have leftovers.
