About this Cook
I love to experiment in the Kitchen. If my husband tells me "You can make that again" the recipe is definately a keeper.
My favorite things to cook
I have just found my new best friend in the kitchen...my slow cooker. I have also discovered that I am a pretty decent bread baker, so right now, my favorite thing to make is bread.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family doesn't really have any cooking traditions. Although my Mom does make an awesome meatloaf (Hubby prefers hers over mine, even if he doesn't say so out loud) :0
My cooking triumphs
No triumphs really, just enjoy spending time in the kitchen playing with recipes until they suit my family. Although I have become quite good at bread making..thank you to all the people that submit bread recipes!!
My cooking tragedies
I made a cream cheese/garlic sauce and it turned into wallpapaper paste. Had to make a few changes, and now it is one of our favorite meals.

Pork Chops Over Rice
OMG is this good..I did make another recipe out of this cause it is easy to and I just made it now...here are some changes though..yeah yeah...browned up (5 thick boneless)chops..set aside..to same fry pan added 1 diced pepper, muchroons, a bit of onion (1/4ish cup)plus, 1 and a half cup FRESH green beans halved, pinch of basil and oregano and a dash of cayanne pepper, saute until it start to smell nice, add 1 cup long grain rice, stir until rice is opaque, add 1 cup fresh skinless diced tomatoes, 1/2 cup tomato juice ( I used V8) and 3/4 cup water...simmer 5 minutes. Add a bit of basil/oregano/ chili pepper to outside of Pork chops. Transfer rice mixture to casserole place chops on top, cover and place in preheated oven to 350 degrees. Cool 1 hour and 15 minutes. I am doing this here because to get a new recipe publish here is insane and I did use the basic recipe with mods...sorry

Roast Chicken with Rosemary
Great recipe. I used thyme instead of rosemary though...personal preference. I too added thyme, onion, garlic, celery and carrots to the cavity. Used an oil rub on the outside with more thyme/poultry seasoning. I did use about 1/2 cup chicken broth and 1/2 cup wine in the bottom, raised the chicken out of mixture with a rack. Did two small chickens. 1 for dinner, the other for soup. Amazing homemade broth when you make stock with veggies from inside birds. THE BEST stock I have ever made. Thanks for post.
