Holiday's are my favorite times to cook. I always have new pie recipies to try and new cookies to bake. My friends love my alfredo sauce and homemade pizzas!

Spritz cookies, Danish Christmas Bread, and Danish Puff from my Great Grandmother's recipies, straight from Denmark!

My cooking tragedies
Whatever you do, don't put raw beets in beef stew. They turn everything pruple and your husband will make fun of you for the rest of your life!

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake
This was wonderful! Everyone at my office thought it was great, I made a second one with Rhubarb, they loved that too!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes
This one is a great "starter" recipe. I made it for 15+ people and tripled the recipe. I added finely chopped onion, nutmeg and garlic o the cheese sauce, and layered the sauce and the potatoes. It needed a lot more salt than I anticipated. Note to sefl-more salt next time. I baked for 45 with foil on top, and then 25 more to brown without the foil, worked like a charm!

Basil Cream Chicken
Not bad, added garlic, and toped pasta with the chicken breast pounded thin and fresh chopped tomatoes. A splash of lemon brightened the Basil flavor. Added a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a little kick, too.
