About this Cook
I find cooking incredibly relaxing and love to entertain guests. I'm a Midwesterner at heart and that is often reflected in my meals and my portion sizes. I'm a new mom with a beautiful daughter so I'm learning to juggle work, family and enjoying time with her and my husband.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoys putting together new meals for my family and guests. I'm easily bored with a meal so I'm constantly changing recipes and putting new twists on things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up with large family meals and always feeding a crowd. I love a good hearty meal that allows me to mingle with our guests while still providing a delicious meal.
My cooking triumphs
If my husband likes it, it's a triumph!
My cooking tragedies
I never like to be "beaten" by a recipe and if something doesn't turn out right, I'll play with the recipe continuously to get it to work. My husband tells horror stories about my meatloaf project.

Marinated Spicy Pork Chops
This recipes was great. Don't get too caught up on being exact on the amounts!! I added a bit of water to my marinade to thin it down and it was a huge hit in our household. Thinning it usually ends up with more flavor in the meat but not the thick sauce you see in the picture.

Slow Cooker Kielbasa and Beer
The recipe is good and we enjoyed it as a family. It's probably not a "family favorite" but I will make it again. As always, follow the suggestions - light beer, brown sausage, add an apple, honey and dijon mustard to the mix.

Fry Bread Tacos II
Great Fry Bread recipes. Choose your own toppings and get creative, but this is definitely the bread to use.
