My Apple Crisp II
About this Cook
I'm 26, married(6 yrs), and have a 2 1/2 y.o. old son, 1 1/2 y.o. son and a 1 month old daughter. I served in the Navy for 6yrs of service. I'm now a Realtor and a security officer for a Federal National Laboratory. Yeah, I've got my hands full now. I moved back to my hometown after being stationed out in Florida. Now I'm just enjoying all the hard work that comes with being a civilian again and all the joys that come with being a dad. As far as cooking goes, well I think I can cook just about anything I've got a recipe for. All you got to do is follow the directions!
My favorite things to cook
Anything five star with lots of reviews.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chile season! That just recently became a family tradition for me. I married into it. I love chile, but we always had store bought chile growing up. Now, with my wife's family, we get our chile from the market, roast it, peel it, prep it, put it in freezer bags and we've got the good stuff all year long! Green or Red?... I love the Red!
My cooking triumphs
I made an amazing dinner for our first or second, I can't remember which, anniversary. It came out of one of the Emeril books. She couldn't believe it. I really took it up a notch!
My cooking tragedies
My famous banana cream pie... (Emeril recipe) the custard was amazing, but the crust... well, it could've been used as a weapon it was so hard. I still don't understand what went wrong with that one.

Apple Crisp II
I've made this a couple of times now, for family gatherings, and it's been a big hit both times. Thing only thing I ever change is the size of pan. Definitely use a smaller pan. I use 8x8.

Chunky Marinara Sauce
This is a great recipe!! My son kept asking for pasta so I thought I would give this a try. I added canned mushrooms and bell pepper, I had some on hand that I wanted to use before it went bad. It was so delicious. It didn't take long to make and my toddlers ate it up. Thanks for the great recipe.
