About this Cook
Stay at home mom with 3 kids (1 boy and 2 girls)
My favorite things to cook
Dinners, Desserts (anything chocolate), Holiday Meals.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Grandmother and Mother taught me how to make pies. Home cooking is a family tradition. I serve my family a home cooked meal at least 6 nights a week.
My cooking triumphs
I enjoy making Thanksgiving dinner every year by myself. From the turkey to the fudge, I enjoy every minute of it and my family enjoys devouring it.
My cooking tragedies
None. Knock on wood. I have always made it a point to follow recipes to the T. So far everything has worked out well!

Banana Crumb Muffins
These were awesome! I will be making them again very soon but next time it will be a double batch! I followed the recipe exactly, except that I added some chopped walnuts to the topping. They were delicious, the kids and husband enjoyed them, they didn't even last a day!

Korean Cucumber Salad
Smells wonderful and tastes great! I only gave this recipe 4 stars because I ended up tweaking it a little. The sesame seeds and red pepper flakes were so overpowering I ended up adding another cucumber and carrot to balance out the flavor. Next time I make it I will only use 1 tbs sesame seeds and 1/4 tsp or less of the red pepper flakes. Other than that it goes great as a side to any Korean BBQ dish and compliments kimchi wonderfully!

Rolled Buttercream Fondant
The flavor was good. It wasnt as easy to work with as the pre-made wilton kind you can buy in the store, but it did taste better. It fell apart fairly easily but I did manage to get it on the cake. The texture wasnt very smooth but I was pleased with the end result. Its not something I would use on a wedding cake. It was easy to make and the ingredients are things that are easy to find and keep on hand so overall I have to give this 4 stars.
