i was looking for a baked beans recipe to take to a picnic. Something differant than the same old thing. This was it. I doubled the recipe thinking there would be leftovers to bring home. Boy was I wrong. They ate every last bean! This is a great recipe and so easy. They smelled delicious while cooking and tasted just as good. Thanks Maureen.

I took this to a party this weekend. I doubled the recipe and put it into my 5 qt. crock pot.It was gone in minutes!!! Everybody loved it and wanted the recipe. I served it with Tostitos Scoops so you could get lots of the dip with each bite. Thanks Lois for a very yummy and differant dip. My friend suggested thinning it down a little bit with either milk or half and half, saute the peppers and onions with the sausage and serving it over pasta for a meal. Can't wait to try it that way too.

I make a very similar version of this salad. The differance is I add the french dressing, along with the same size bottle of zesty Italian dressing, to the lettuce mixture just before I am going to serve it and mix well. I also let each person put the salsa and sour cream onto their own serving. Some like hot salsa and some like mild salsa.
