Buffalo Chicken Soup
This recipe was a big hit! I made it on a whim after a search for what to do with some leftover chicken I had. It tastes like slightly spicy cream of chicken soup. The only changes I made were to boil my (bone in, skinless) chicken breasts and then use the strained boiling water instead of using plain water and a bouillon cube. Looking forward to the leftovers for lunch today!

Chicken Corn Chowder
This is a pretty good basic recipe but I felt it was a little too vague. Like a lot of others I wasn't sure about how much water to use so I ended up with too much and a thin soup. So I added some dried potatoes and also some corn starch dissolved in water, and added more cream than the recipe called for. I skipped the bouillon because my broth was tasty without it but added extra black pepper and some seasoned salt. After the modifications it was reallllly good.

Saltine Toffee Cookies
Ooooooh my goodness these are SO GOOD!! I used light brown sugar and didn't have any pecans. Also sprinkled some Christmasy red and green striped white chocolate chips on top after spreading the melted semi-sweet chips. A definite new family tradition in our house!
