I am a very part time nurse and a full time mother to a little girl. She is my little miracle born 3 months too early and doing wonderful. She likes to help in the kitchen now. Stirring kool aid is fun for her. I am married to a wonderful man who can really cook. He does the grill and makes an excellent turkey in the deep fryer. I love to entertain and so I like to find different dishes to try and am willing to try them new on company. I do like to do canning. It is so nice to look at the finished product..yes it is cheaper sometimes to buy it in the store but the flavor from home can't be beat !! I am not a baker for me it is to precise on timing and I have to measure..I prefer just putting the stuff together. I began doing Thanksgiving dinner for my husbands family and invite others to join us. I also traditionally do an end of the year celebration where I have people in to celebrate. I would love to learn how to decorate cakes. One of my greatest triumphs would be to be compared to my grandmother in her cooking.
