This is the recipe I submitted but I do not steam my squash. I slice it and then boil it in water for about 15-20 minutes or until tender. I drain the water off before adding the squash to the rest of the ingredients. This is really good. Hope you like it.

Bat Cupcakes

I agree that there needs to be a picture or better instructions. I tried everything to make these look like bats. Several people told me they looked like turkeys so maybe I'll make them for Thanksgiving.

Caramel Apple Pie II

I made this pie last night. I loved the flavor but it was too runny. I let it cool about 40 minutes before we ate it. It was still warm but not hot. It was still runny when it was room temperature. If I make it again, I will cut the sugar in half so hopefully it will not be so runny.

Heartwarming Chili

This chili was really good. I love how fast and easy it was to make. It's also mild enough for my 7-year old. I left out the green peppers and used kidney beans instead of pinto beans.

Taco Pie

This was good. I would have given it 5 stars but the crust was too thick for us even though I cooked it in a 11x7 inch pan. Next time I make it, I will still use the 11x7 inch pan, but only use half of the cresent rolls. This is very quick and easy which is perfect during soccer season!

Fruited Ice Cream

I just bought an ice cream maker and this was the first ice cream I made in it. I subsituted ripe peaches for the strawberries. The ice cream was very good and only one dozen people ate the entire gallon! I can't wait to try it with strawberries or bananas.

Snow Peak Frosting

I made the Devil's Food Cake I from this site and frosted it with this frosting for my mother-in law's birthday. It was a great combination. She had requested Seven Minute Frosting but it was very humid here the day I made it and I was afraid the frosting would not set up good. This frosting sets up very good even on a humid day! It is not very sweet but is good when spread over a rich chocolate cake.

Devil's Food Cake I

I made this cake for my mother-in-law's birthday and frosted it with Snow Peak Frosting. This was a great combination. I made the cake the day before and it was good and moist the next day when I served it. It smells incredible when it is baking!

Paul's Favorite Chicken

This was really good. I would have given it 5 stars but I had to add more cheese in order for the chicken to be "coated". I probably put over a cup of cheese in this. This recipe is great for those of us watching our carbs! We did not eat it over pasta. It was good by itself.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

First of all my whole family HATES baked fish of any kind. We are southern bred and fry all fish. I saw this recipe and all the rave reviews and since tilapia was on sale, I decided to give it a try. Boy, am I ever glad I did. Everyone loved this dish. The only thing I would do differently would be to make more of the topping. Absolutely fantastic recipe!

Southern Praline Pecan Cake

This is really, really good. I followed the recipe exactly except I melted a can of caramel frosting at 50% power for 30 seconds and drizzled over the cooled cake. I took this cake to a church dinner yesterday where there were many other great desserts and this one was the first one completely gone. Since the cake is so moist, it did try to break when I inverted it on to a plate. I had let it cool in the pan for 15 minutes but next time, I will let it cool completely in the pan before I invert it. Great recipe!!!

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

This coleslaw was really good. I did not change anything. I had to make dinner for a professional caterer who was recuperating from surgery and made this coleslaw for part of the dinner. She said it was the best coleslaw she ever ate!

El Dorado Beef Casserole

Polish Pickles

These are really good and easy. Be sure and use really crisp pickles for this - it makes all the difference. We use small whole dill pickles from the refrigerated section of the grocery store. We also call them Frog Eyes.

Apple Enchiladas

I was invited to a Mexican themed dinner and was requested to bring dessert. I made this recipe and it was an absolute hit! Everyone raved over this and wanted more even though I doubled the recipe. Thanks for a great recipe.

My Little Secret

This is really good. Even people who said they did not like potato salad liked this. I did not use the black olives due to picky eaters. Be sure and use thick sliced bacon like the directions say.
