Way too sweet for me- but this was the first time I tried bananas foster, so maybe I'm just not used to the sweet consistency?

I nervously made this once for a family function, (having never tasted it, going only by faith of the good reviews) and since then, have made for almost every church/holiday function. I ALWAYS get asked for the recipe! It is so incredibly easy! Like others, I cut back on the water, and I also added some instant oatmeal to the cake mix, and then sprinkled some slivered almonds on top. This is a definite winner!

Although I didn't have apple-cinnamon flavored granola, I had plain granola, and it turned out great! I used margarine instead of shortening. I added a handful of chocolate chips to half the batter, and left the other half plain (my husband doesn't like chocolate chips) and we both loved these cookies. Great for extra granola!
