About this Cook
There's nothing I love more than hand made quilts and having family and friends over for dinner. Im a comfort food farm girl so my meals are always something done in the crock pot or pasta. My husband and Iw ent out an purchased a nice dining room table that seats 8 and I love it! There is nothing better than spending time around the table with those you love enjoying good food. To me food is curency and I spend it often on the ones I love.
My favorite things to cook
Mac and cheese, Lasagna, pot roast, love casseroles and one pot meals. Hearty soups and stews with a good crusty bread.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My son will do anything for homemade mac n cheese. He says it doesnt taste the same unless he grates the cheese. I think he likes to do it so he can snack on the cheese.
My cooking triumphs
Candy making and pie crust's
My cooking tragedies
The first year I was married,(20 years ago) I cooked a Turkey with the neck and package of gibblits still inside. Got a little smokey in the Kitchen. From then on I had a new found respect for my mom.

Chicken Lo Mein
What a great recipe. So easy to make. I leave out the sherry and I use pea pods mushrooms and carrots as my veggies. I have also done this with beef strips, and still use the chicken broth. Very good!
