Mini Crescent Dogs

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
I unrolled the dough on wax paper and used a pizza cutter (rather than a knife)to cut the dough. I served ketchup, mustard, bbq sauce and spicy mustard on the side for dipping. This is a perfect simple appetizer.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2008
As others suggested, I increase the milk gradually, then I increased the light corn syrup. I use 1 tsp. vanilla extract. After you are done icing the cookies, place them in the refridge for several minutes so that the icing dries faster (then you can stack the cookies).

Crispy Chicken Strips

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2008
I lined the pan with foil then sprayed the foil with Pam. I melted 1/4 c butter in bowl. Then I put 1 cup Rice Krispies, 2 TBS flour, 2 tsp Montreal Chicken Seasoning into a small ziplock bag to crush and mix ingredients (don't over crush). Pour dry ingredients into separate bowl. Coat chicken in butter then coat with dry ingredients. Bake for 30 mins. for crispy coating. Serve with ranch dressing for dipping.

Good basic recipe with a few modifications. As suggested by others: use 1/2 cup sugar & 1/2 cup brown sugar, add 1 TBS cinnamon, chopped walnuts. Reduce oven temperature to 325 and bake for 60-70 mins (watch carefully and tent with foil if top browns to quickly).

Boil water and prepare 6-8 oz of macaroni noodles according to directions on box. While noodles are cooking, heat 1 lb ground beef, 1/2 c green pepper diced, 1/2 c onion diced in a skillet. Drain fat. After meat is browned, add 2 tsp paprika, 1 TBS chili powder, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1-14 oz can Delmonte diced tomatoes (basil, garlic, oregano), 4 oz tomato paste, 2 TBS water, 1 1/2 TBS brown sugar, 1 TBS worcestershire sauce. Simmer for several more minutes then remove from heat. Mix in the cooked macaroni noodles and serve. Add a side of garlic bread for a great easy meal.

Browned chicken breasts that were seasoned with salt & pepper. I used 1/2 cup of mayonnaise and 1/2 cup of sour cream (instead of 3/4 c mayo). Topped chicken & sauce with bread crumbs then mozzarella cheese.

Potato Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: May 24, 2008
Worth the calories! Use a thin potato chip like Lays. Do not flatten dough with a fork. Just drop dough from a teaspoon or a medium/small scoop. Bake cookies only until edges are slightly browned (do not over cook). Dust with powdered sugar when still warm. Enjoy!

Fantastic Recipe with slight changes. Line pan w/foil. Use Hawaiin Rolls - without separating into individual rolls, cut top off of dinner rolls. Heat in sauce pan for 2 mins: 1/2 c butter, 1/3 c brown sugar, 2 TBS worcestershire sauce, 2 TBS dijon mustard, 2 TBS poppy seeds, 2 tsp minced onion (optional). Layer ham & cheese over bread bottom. Spread 1/3 of heated butter mixture over ham & cheese then replace bread top and pour remaining butter mixture over top of rolls. Bake for 20 mins.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
Make up your heavy whipping cream first...chill it while mixing "cold" cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and salt. Beat cream cheese mixture until it is smooth (about 3 mins.) Fold in heavy whipping cream gently for several minutes until mixture is smooth. This made a basic boxed white "sheet" cake taste fantastic!

Quick Salsa Dip

I changed recipe slightly and it was still great. Use 1-8oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup garden salsa, 1 cup finely shredded mild cheddar, 3 TBS chopped black olives, 1 tsp green onion (no red bell pepper). Use a hand mixer to blend all ingredients together. Sprinkle some finely shredded mild cheddar on top and chill. Serve with crackers.
