I am an Army wife so I travel and live where the Army sends me. In my travels I experience new tastes and food styles ... one of my favorite things about the traveling! I have two kids and I am always trying to get them to experience new things and to broaden their horizons.

Currently it is anything on the grill ... Ahi tuna, Korean Bar-B-Q, Kabobs, Shrimp.

Comfort foods like big batches of chili, stew, chicken & dumplings, and ham & beans.

Gingered Flank Steak
Wonderfully easy to throw marinade together, then it is quick and easy to cook on the grill. I never seem to have fresh ginger on hand so I use about a teaspoon or so of ground ginger.

Ham and Beans
The recipe caught my eye because it called for brown sugar. I grew up in Southern MO and it all my years of making ham and beans I have never used that ingredient. It was a fantastic addition and added just a undertone of sweetness to the dish.

Homemade Pork Sausage
I loved it and it was SO easy I thought I had done something wrong. It is spicy, but I love it that way. If you like it with a little less heat decrease peppers to your taste. Used it on homemade pizza and kids really ate it up!
