Really, really good. Excellent chewy texture, lots of flavour, and just sweet enough. My family prefers a really spicy ginger molasses cookie, so we'll add some more ginger and cloves the next time I make these, but the flavour is very good without any tweaks at all.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Great as-is, spectacular with thyme and marjoram in place of the celery seed. Easy recipe to follow, impressive to serve for a casual dinner, and a definite family favourite.

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

This cooking method creates perfectly tender ribs that come off the bone easily but don't fall apart during serving, and the sauce is fantastic (even if I did omit the liquid smoke). Thanks for sharing, tsgma!

Cream Cheese Frosting II

I love the light texture and tangy taste of this frosting. It looked fantastic piped high on my cupcakes and was a great compliment to the chocolate flavour. A warning to those who prefer a sweeter, less intense cream cheese icing -- the cream cheese is definitely the dominant flavour. I (and the majority of the people who sampled it) thought it was fantastic, but a handful of my taste-testing guinea pigs thought the flavour was too strong.

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

This was gelatinous and totally unappealing once cooled, and the chocolate flavour was nothing to write home about. If you're looking for a pudding that holds its shape perfectly once out of a mold and don't really care about the flavour, this is it. If you're looking for creamy, chocolatey goodness, keep looking.

Broccoli Cheese Chicken

A very simple, easy meal. There's not a tonne of personality here, but it's a decent meal. As for the question about the 20-minute cooking time, that was plenty for boneless chicken breasts at such a high temperature.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Four stars as-is, five with one minor adjustment, per other reviewers: Decrease white sugar to 3/4 cup, and increase brown sugar to 1 1/4 cups. I have also added one cup of Skor toffee bits in place of the walnuts. These cookies are the perfect texture. Crispy edges, chewy middles, and they stayed that way for days.

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Meh. The flavour was good -- not too sweet -- but it was hard to colour this icing. I had to add several more tablespoons of milk to get it to a piping consistency, and found that the shortening melted in the bag as a piped, leaving white streaks in the coloured icing. Not quite the look I was going for. I would definitely use this again for baking projects that involve only white icing, but I don't recommend this for colouring, unless you have ice-cold hands!

Michelle's Soft Sugar Cookies

I'll stop looking for the perfect sugar cookie now! These were perfectly flavourful and soft. My only complaint is that the first batch (and only the first batch, oddly enough) puffed up so much that some of the shapes were unrecognizable (and those just became the sacrificial cookies that my husband "tested" before baking the rest).

Honey Banana Muffins

These are a great lower-fat muffin. They definitely have that low-fat texture (you know the one I mean... A little spongy), but they are great tasting and well worth the compromise for fewer calories and less fat!

Oranged Cranberry Sauce

Very strongly flavoured, so this isn't a great recipe for cranberry sauce purists, but it tasted delicious. If you find it's too strongly flavoured for your taste, add some water to thin it out during the last few minutes of cooking.

Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Herb-Garlic-Pepper Coating

Perfection. My husband is always worried about barbecuing for guests, but this was phenomenal. I put the rub on the meat the night before and let it sit almost 24 hours. The beef was so tender and delicious. Definitely a recipe we'll keep!

Plum Clafouti

In theory, I think this is a good recipe, but I found the contrast between the sweet batter and tart plums to be too much -- it was as though I was eating two different desserts at the same time. Will try again with blueberries or possibly peaches.
