Our son Anders was born in April '09 and he is the new love of my life! Long, involved recipes that leave lots of dishes - that's when I know I've done a good job, when the kitchen's a mess! :) My new favorite pastime is making crazy cakes - a la Duff Goldman - for parties and friends' events. I catered our housewarming party all from scratch! It was tedious but everything went over so well. Too often I try to bake a cake when I get home from work at 8 AM.. and then the timer doesn't wake me up when I pass out on the couch. Soooo many crispy baked goods are in my past!
