About this Cook
I'm a young cook that has learned from my mom-one day I hope to be as great. Moved to the US when I was little and take a little from everywhere I go. I love to try new things and get bored making the same thing over and over. I personally don't eat meat but I like to know how to cook it for others. Currently trying my hand at baking.
My favorite things to cook
I love Italian (yum!!!!), desserts-they're fun to make even though I don't have much of a sweet tooth and anything veggie but not granola-y.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The pasta must be perfect, my pet peeve is soggy pasta drenched in sauce (yuck!).
My cooking triumphs
BEAUTIFUL King Cake (see pic) that I made this past Mardi Gras ('06) and was also the first time that I was cooking for about 20 people. It was the first time that I made a pastry or bread and it came out perfectly-thank goodness, there would be no time to make a new one! It was almost too pretty to eat.
My cooking tragedies
Nothing too bad yet...which makes me worry because I know it's coming, everyone has to have one.

Storm of the Century Hurricane
Wow! Very strong but tasty. I'm not a big drinker but the party that I made them for loved them.

Alfredo Sauce
This was an ok simple alfredo sauce-a good base to add to. one tip though-mix the egg BEFORE adding to sauce (otherwise it will cook a little and be very chunky)

Cornbread Muffins I
These are great! Simple and yummy-the corn bits in the muffin are really great. Serve with honey butter and add to any meal.
