I love to cook meatloaf, love baking pies...pretty much everything. Cooking has always been a part of family tradition. I wasn't allowed in the kitchen until I was 11 or 12, but when I finally got in there the ladies in my family let me help out tremendously. I'm pretty sure that's why I have a knack for cooking these days. When I first got married, I was cooking probably 2-3 nights a week. Now I cook every night and we rarely go out. It's not because of money, but more because of homemade cooking and time around the table is just so much better. Now that me and my husband aren't trying a new place to eat every night, it's a lot more exciting when we actually plan a date to go out and eat...kind of like when we were dating. I've had my share of nights when a reciped I've tried just plain did not come out right. Also, things I've decided to whip up myself just turned out awful.
