About this Cook
I am from Omaha,NE and a HUGE Husker Fan!! I have two beautiful children that keep me busy. A wonderful husband who I love so much. We now live in Fl, which I am not to found of but have come here for my dear husbands job. The weather is nice and the beaches are very beautiful. The seafood is the greatest!!!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make appetizers. Not sure why but we host many game night parties and I love to do appetizers. I also love my slow cooker, it's the best think next to sliced bread!! I am well known though for my desserts, my mother and I like to swap many recipes. What is really great is my grandparents used to own a steakhouse, so many recipes from there.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our family tradition with my family is on the holidays we have certain foods. For Thanksgiving there are always two staples that are always on the table: a fried turkey and pumpkin cheesecake. For Christmas it is always ham for meat and greenbean casserole. I love family traditions and hope my children will carry them on.
My cooking triumphs
Oh, I have some but my homemade raisin cinnamon bread and from scratch angel food cake.
My cooking tragedies
I can not make cookies. I don't know what it is but cookies are terrible to make.

Tilapia Soft Tacos with Chipotle Cream
Loved these. As previously stated two peppers make the sauce pretty hot. I love how simple these were to make. This recipe is a keeper. Thanks for posting!

Bourbon-Mango Pulled Pork
This was good. I thought it was pretty simple to put toghether and did not take me a lot of time to fuss over! My husband LOVED this a lot!! I did cut the black pepper down and added more mango to my reduction, but that is my personal choice. Thanks for a great recipe.

Easiest Slow Cooker French Dip
Easy and very delicious French Dip. I found the au jus was greasy so I tried to skin some of the fat off the top and I also made extra on the stove top. Will be making this again.
