About this Cook
I'm 25 years old and have been married 7 years. I'm a total animal lover and have 2 great danes and a tabby cat. I've been cooking as far back as I can remember, but have only been seriously cooking for the past 6 years. I love trying new recipes and love cooking for a crowd.
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, cakes...any dessert. Pasta, Fish, Mexican. I've just recently started using the grill a lot and have found I have a knack for it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When I was little my grandma would prop me up on a stool and let me stir in all the ingredients. She always told me "A messy cook is a good cook." She recently passed away and everytime I'm in the kitchen making a mess, I think of her.
My cooking tragedies
One year I was in charge of making my Dad's birthday cake. I know he loves cheesecake (which I had never made before)and decided to try my hand at it. Well I didn't realize that you need to let the the cake sit, so it will set. I just kept cooking it and cooking it. Once it was "set" I took it out and we headed to my parents. I was so proud and cut a large piece for my Dad. He took one bite and the look on his face said it all. He was so nice about it, but I knew it wasn't good. Since then I've practiced and practiced and now I actually get compliments on my cheesecake.

Pat's Baked Beans
These were delicious. I did 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/4 molasses, left out one can of beans, and replaced the garbanzo beans with black beans. I took them to a bbq and everyone raved about them.

Pancakes on the Go
We thought these were delicious. I do add a little more baking soda and a teaspoon of cinnamon.

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham
This was sooo delicious and made the most beautiful ham. I should have taken a pictures. :) Everyone loved it! The only think I changed was to use pineapple orange juice because we always have it at the house.
