Excellent recipe! I have made this cake a few times for home and my neighbours and have gotten great reviews. My husband likes chocolate chips so I made one for him with some chips on top, one for my mum with some walnuts, and my dad loved it plain. Great cake to have with your afternoon cup of tea.

EXCELLENT recipe!!! The only change I made was I used 1 c brown sugar and 1 c white sugar. I loved the frosting too! Thanks!

Date Nut Loaf Cake

Great recipe. However, I only baked it for about 40 minutes. I also didn't bother with the sauce and it was good plain. It was very moist, but I also found it to be a little too dense. Nonetheless everyone really enjoyed it with a cup of tea.
