About this Cook
I am the wife of a Texas high school football coach, the mother of 3 beautiful girls, and Science teacher to about a hundred 7th graders. Needless to say, I enjoy chaos. But when I want to relax and slow everything down... the kitchen is where I will go.
My favorite things to cook
I absolutely love cooking desserts. Probably because I love eating them!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband and I both love to have company over, so I am constantly trying out new recipes. We also have a huge extended family so holidays are especially fun in the kitchen.
My cooking triumphs
I am starting two cookbook-scrapbooks to pass down to my girls when they are grown and out the house. One for regular recipes and the other for desserts. So far, so good... my oldest daughter is already looking through it and cooking the desserts she likes herself.
My cooking tragedies
None yet.....

Snickerdoodles I
I followed this recipe exactly as written... oh so good! I made mine a tad bit bigger- I was onlt able to make 33 cookies instead of 36... still wonderful!

Coconut Muffins
This was amazing!... I used 1/2 cup of coconut and 1 tsp coconut extract as some had suggested... I also added 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips b/c I LOVE chocolate and coconut together...MMMM... I was actually able to make 12 muffins w/ the additions and the streusel topping was enough for the extra... I had no problems with the topping running off... wonderful recipe!

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken
My husband and I agreed that this was probably the best chicken recipe ever! I followed this exactly and it was delicious!... I've also tried it with the "gravy" mixture that another review suggested and I thought it was good... but not as good as it is without it. This will be a fam fav!
