Playgroup Granola Bars
I really enjoy making these for my two year old. I usually bring crackers along for snacks, but now I bring these. They are more healthy and they fill him up faster (and longer). Here are the changes I've made: 1. I reduce the brown sugar to 1/3 cup and the honey to around 1/4 cup. 2. I reduce the oil to 1/4 cup 3. I add 2 mashed, ripe bananas to the egg mixture before adding it to the dry 4. I add a bit of allspice 5. I bake for 20 minutes. The way I make it is not as sweet, but that's good because it keeps me from eating them all but still satisfies my son.
