I'm 27 years old living in Maryland, was born in Washington, D.C. The oldest of three girls and I enjoy cooking and learning/trying new things to the dismay of my fiance. Baked Mac & Cheese, cakes and I like to experiment with cookies and pies- and meats. I usually cook chicken but do, on occasion, use red meats. I just enjoy cooking when the mood strikes me. Thanksgiving and Christmas was always a time I looked forward to helping in the kitchen and, in later years, contributing by cooking/baking a dessert or two. Now I can actually cook a turkey of my own! it is a great accomplishment to impress my mom and grandmother. Baked Mac & Cheese, baked salmon, banana pudding, cakes and cookies from scratch, Pasta soup inspired by the Olive Garden, cooking a 15 lb. turkey with stuffing... I am just proud at some of the things I have created, but I don't measure so it is hard to translate recipes. I made the best chewy oatmeal cookies only to forget how I made them... again, I didn't measure and just threw things together on a whim. It backfired because now I can't remember what I did and the cookies are never the same. And that is the only embarassment I care to list at the moment. :)
