About this Cook
Hi, I love to cook for my wonderful husband, and he loves the fact that I can come up with so many different meal ideas! Allrecipes.com is my secret weapon for keeping him happy at mealtimes.
My favorite things to cook
I like cooking things in my slow cooker as they don't require a lot of effort on the weekends, and I do a lot of salads, soups and baking for lunches during the week to take to work.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sunday roast dinners, yum.
My cooking triumphs
I have become renowned with my family in law for always cooking fantastic dishes as they have a lot of potlucks. Also, I always get asked about recipes and cooking ideas at work and half the ladies are twice my age and have huge families, so it makes me feel happy that I can give them cooking advice.
My cooking tragedies
I once tried to make a Pumpkin and Salmon pasta but used twice the specified amount and canned salmon instead of fresh salmon and it ended up being far too overpowering. I nearly made my husband throw up.

Evin's Indian Apricot Chicken
This was quite a pleasant taste, as the combination of the vinegar andpreserves balanced out each other nicely. Thanks for the recipe!

Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake
This was a lovely moist cake and I have been asked for the recipe on many occasions. I have also had success using this recipe in two loaf pans rather than as one big cake. I like to make one loaf to take out and then I put the other loaf in the freezer. Also if I leave out the milk and do not put the topping on, this makes a scrumptious muffin. Thank you for such a versatile recipe!
