About this Cook
I am a mother two three girls and the wife to my loving man. I currently work for Corvent LLC, a web conferencing company. I enjoy sewing, crocheting, watching movies, canning and getting paranoid that I don't have enough and goods saved up to last a year.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are easy meals that my kids like. Those are far and few between, but the reward of having them all enjoy it is a wonderful gift! I do enjoy baking a lot, probably because I get to eat it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year at the annual Family White Elephant Christmas Party my aunt makes these wreaths made with cornflakes, marshmallows, green food coloring, and red hots. We call them the mean greens. Don't to many if you can resist.
My cooking triumphs
My greatest cooking triumph is learning how to cook without eggs. We have a severe egg allergy in the family so foods are limited to what recipe does not include eggs to begin with, or ones that I can substitute eggs with, what else, egg substitute.
My cooking tragedies
My biggest cooking tragedy is trying to find ways to cook/bake dishes that usually require eggs...without eggs.

Megan's Granola
This is by far the best granola ever!!! I made the batch and took some to work. Everyone was asking for some. I'm going to make a double back next time so that I have enough to last longer than a couple days. I ate it with milk like cereal, but liked it better mixed in with vanilla yogurt. I couldn't get enough. I bet it would be great made into chewy granola bars as well.

Uglies
I did not enjoy these very much. The reason it even got two stars is because my 12 year old liked them, but no one else did. I followed the recipe exactly. Maybe it would be better without the BBQ sauce, maybe another type of sauce. I like the idea of the taco seasoning that another reviewer suggested. I'll try that.

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits
This is by far the best biscuit recipe I have found. Very fluffy and light, great texture, great taste. Anybody who would prefer Bisquick or Pillsbury biscuits obviously doesn't know the true value and goodness of a homemade biscuit.
