I'm a college student in Portland. I love to bake, but I don't get much time to cook during the school year. cakes, cookies, Italian and Mediterranean food making krumkake (from my Norwegian side) and our annual Christmas cookie decorating assembly line including my grandmother's intricate Santa cookies that have to be hand-painted in about 8 different steps. my world-famous (or so some in the family claim) brownies Burnt cookies. I haven't had anything to make a funny story, but my dad sister tried to make a cake for my mom's birthday one year and used granulated sugar instead of powdered sugar because they thought they were equivalent. A different year they accidentally used twice the butter and ended up with a melty cake.
