These were great! I used my bread machine on the dough cycle for the mixing/rising. I also used this recipe for a loaf of bread. Wonderful!

This was amazing! I broiled lobster tails & diced them up. I served it in bread bowls & couldn't get enough!

I added a tsp of almond extract to mine - the flavor was good & the cake was dense & rich.

The Best and Cheesiest Artichoke Dip

This recipe is really forgiving - I ran out of mayo, but it turned out fine. I added garlic powder, but I think that I will add fresh garlic next time, as suggested in a previous post.

Creamed Beef for SOS

I did a little tweaking and added cream of mushroom soup to give it a little more gravy. This has become my daughter's new favorite dinner!

These were amazing! I made mini scones for a bridal shower and they were a big hit. I was also surprised at how easy they were to make.

Millionaire Pie

Thank you so much for the recipe! I followed it exactly and the pies came out great. Be sure to FOLD in the whipped topping - if you put it in a mixer, it will turn to goo (as I have found in the past). That's probably why others have had trouble with it being runny. I will make these again & again!

Broccoli Casserole

This dish was very tasty! Since I sauted the onions in butter, I left the butter out of the recipe. There was a nice blend of ingredients - had a great flavor.

Candied Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
These were amazing! I used canned yams and, based on other reviews, I cut the butter & brown sugar down to 3/4 cup each. I also like a little texture, so I added 3/4 cup of chopped pecans. Delicious!

Slow Cooked Baked Beans

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2008
As usual, I changed this recipe up a little bit. I doubled the recipe & used bacon instead of cured pork. I also soaked the beans beforehand. Because of this, I only needed six cups of water when I put it all in the slow cooker (3 cups if the recipe wasn't doubled). I like my beans a little sweeter, so I added 4 more tbsp of brown sugar to my doubled recipe. Very tasty!

Mission Mexican Pizza

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2008
These were good, but took some time. (I made a number of changes.) I used picante sauce instead of pizza sauce & added chopped black olives & green chiles to give more flavor. I also added taco seasoning to the ground beef & used refried black beans. I left out the onions & tomatoes but added shredded lettuce. My family loved these & said that they were so much better than Taco Bell (thank goodness!)

Blackened Tuna

This was a very simple & tasty recipe. You do have to be careful not to over-cook the tuna. I served this on a bed of spanish rice & my 8-year old couldn't get enough!

This was a simply wonderful recipe! I changed the over temp to 275 and let it cook for about 3 hours. The meat just fell off the bone. I will be making this again!

Chicken Flautas

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2007
For the work that was involved, they just weren't worth it to me. I made them for a party & they looked horrible. The corn tortillas were pliable when I worked with them, but busted open when they baked. They are ok if you are keeping them at home, but terrible on presentation for a group.

Garlic Fried Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2007
I made a few changes based on past experiences - I saute the onions, garlic & rice in butter and THEN add the water. Because of what I served this time, I replaced the water with chicken broth & a little bit of white wine. Turned out nice!

Breaded Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2007
My family was hungry & I needed something FAST. I added seasoned salt & pepper to the mixture, but didn't let it marinate. I added paprika & crushed corn flakes to the flour/bread crumb mix. These turned out so good! I will plan ahead next time so that the meat can marinate for a few hours. I bet it is even better! Thanks!
