About this Cook
I am a mature student in university, and I love to cook when I'm not studying.
My favorite things to cook
I love sweets, but I've gotta watch my waist. I like cooking things in my slow-cooker-- there are so many things you can make apart from roast beef.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't really have any, but my mother makes amazing Indian food.
My cooking triumphs
I haven't really had any triumphs. I guess the turkey I cooked for Christmas dinner last year? It was my first time ever making a turkey. It didn't make anyone sick, and we all had more than one serving.
My cooking tragedies
When I was eleven years old, I wanted to make microwave fudge for my mother. I used Ovaltine instead of cocoa. Yuck! It was hard enough to break teeth.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I
Wow, these cookies turned out great. I made these a few years ago, using Ghirardelli chips. This time, I used mint chocolate chips, as those were all I had. I also cut down the white sugar to 1 cup and used 1/2 cup of brown sugar, per other reviewers' suggestions. I used a fork to blend the eggs, sugars, etc., as I find that there are way fewer lumps. Bake for eight minutes, and you've got a yummy cookie!

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies
Delicious cookies! I used milk chocolate chips. I also used 1/4 of oatmeal, simply because I didn't read the recipe properly. They turned out really well, anyway. I baked them for eight minutes, and they were very soft and chewy. Will definitely make these cookies again. Thanks!

Salsa Guacamole
This dip is soooo good! I just made it today, and I only bought the ingredients yesterday. Here's a tip: you can ripen avocados quickly by just placing a few in a paper bag and coating them with flour. Next time, I will try using real garlic, as I prefer it over powder. Still, it's delicious!
