Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

Reviewed: May 25, 2012
I made this exactly except I didn't have cashews so I just made the sauce. Also, I steamed my brocolli. I needed something to go with Mama's Asian Chicken and this was perfect. Nice flavor!

Mama's Asian Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: May 25, 2012
This was really tasty. I doubled the recipe and then quadrupled the sauce. My whole family enjoyed it and I had everything on hand minus the chicken. :O) Served it with white rice and brocolli with garlic butter and cashews, an allrecipe. Didn't have any cashews though.:O( It was a nice paring though.

Baked Penne

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
My family really liked this. The only thing I changed was I used a full pound of hamburger. I think would like less meat next time so 1/2 lb. I want to try it with ground turkey. Used whole wheat penne. I think this would be yummy with shrimp!

Ramen Cabbage Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2011
I made this yesterday for my son's Boy Scout family potluck. I bought a package of shredded coleslaw mix. I knew it was more than a half of a cabbage and I wanted a lot of dressing. I made tripled the dressing but only put in 2 packages of the ramen seasoning and 1 package crushed noodles. Left out the sesame seeds and just chopped up one bundel of green onions. I made it a few hours ahead of time but didn't mix in the almonds or noodles until just before serving and had really good luck with it. Very tasty and easy. Thanks! :O)

Sweet-n-Sour Kielbasa

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2011
I made this yesterday for my son's Boy Scout family potluck. I made it exactly with the exception of cutting the red pepper to 1 tsp. I loved it. Big hit. I will make again next week with rice for dinner. Yummy and easy. Thanks so much!

Cilantro and Garlic Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
I really enjoyed these. I did not deep fry the potatoes though. I cubed them and fried them in about 4 tablespoons of canola oil. I took the suggestions of others and fried the potatoes first, removed them, sauteed the garlic and cilantro, put the potatoes back in the skillet and tossed with cumin and drizzled lemon on top. Served with steaks. Very nice! Thank you!

Ken's Perfect Hard Boiled Egg (And I Mean Perfect)

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
I boiled 3 dozen eggs for my kids to color. I made one pot of the boiling water with salt and vinegar. I boiled a dozen eggs a time and removed them with a slotted spoon in between and cooled in a pot of cold water for 15 minutes. Used the next day, Easter, for deviled eggs. They shell came off perfect and they were perfectly cooked! Thanks! :O)

Busy Day Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
This was pretty good and very easy. I followed the recipe exactly. I did use low sodium soup for the mushroom but couldn't find it for the celery. The only thing I changed was to use lean loin chops instead of chicken. I thought it was a little salty and would probably cut out the onion soup next time but I loved the creamy rice. Will make again! Thanks! :O)

I loved this recipes for its flavor and how easy it was to make on a busy weeknight. The only thing I changed was to use whole wheat penne, sweet italian turkey sausages and no cheese. Trying to eat a bit healthier. Thanks for the keeper!

Orange-Glazed Carrots

I loved the flawor of these. The only thing I changed was I had a bag of baby carrots. I would add a few minutes extra microwaving time next time. These were super easy and delicious. I made these with barbecued hamburgers from allrecipes. Thanks for the keeper.

Barbequed Hamburgers

I made this exactly with the exception of completely doubling the recipes for my family. It was very good. Came together easy and no problem with doubling the recipe. I also used extra lean ground beef and canola oil to make it little more healthy. Thanks for the keeper!

Fast and Friendly Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
I made these with panko instead or bread crumbs and an egg substitue equal to 1 whole egg. These were super easy to make and the texture is really nice. A little bland though. I will definately make again but add some more seasonings to the meatballs. Served with the Best Marinara Sauce and whole wheat past for a healthy dinner. Thanks!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
Made this per request from my son for New Year's Eve. Followed the direction's exactly but cooked about 9 hours. I did slice it up a bit when there was about a hour left of cooking. The meat was nice and tender, lots of juice but the flavor wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked it. I think I would season it up with some montreal steak seasoning or something next time. It was super easy and very good though. Thank you!

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
My family really enjoyed this. My husband ranted about how flavorful the sacue was. It was super easy and inexpensive to make. I made exactly with the exception for the suggestion for a tablespoon of brown sugar. Trying to eat healthier so served over whole wheat pasta with steamed turkey italian sausages. Very tasty. This is a great weeknight meal when you are busy! Thanks so much!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
This was really yummy. I have three kids and usually one won't like whatever the dish is but everyone gobbled this up. I made the sauce exactly but I used 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts. I cubed them up an poured the sauce over the cubes in a container with a lid and shook it up. Put them in the greased pan and cooked for 15 minutes then stirred up and cooked for another 15 minutes and broiled for 5 minutes. Served with jasmine rice and steamed stir fry veggies. This is definately a keeper.
