My favorite things to cook
Anything delicious.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving. It is a time for the womenfolk to swear together in the kitchen and drink mimosas from the crack of 10 (we don't do the dawn thing) while the menfolk stay sober to run to the store for anything we have forgotten. Good food and good company is a tradition that should always persist.
My cooking triumphs
This is still a work in progress. What may well be the holy-grail of rum balls is through its alpha and beta versions. There is well-founded hope that the gamma version will be perfect.
My cooking tragedies
There is nothing in cooking that is a tragedy. The world does not end if you burn the sauce. Just make a note of what you did wrong, and don't do it again. And always use a thermometer when grilling chicken in the dark.
