Ham Salad Spread

This was not at all to anyone's liking. From texture to taste it was a big turn off. Texture was rubbery, maybe because of the ham I used? Could taste nothing but mustard.

'Chinese Buffet' Green Beans

I liked these quite well. Just as it reads they were 'Chinese Buffet'. I only used 2 teaspoons of sugar, that was plenty. I like mine on the soft side so I turned down the heat after getting them browned, covered them and let them steam for about 10 min.

Steamed Lobster Tails

I used my rice steamer to cook a 12 oz. tail and 8 minutes was to long. Next one will check at 5 minutes.

Spam™ and Napa Cabbage

Pretty good, like other reviewers say it was on the salty side. Less soy sauce next time, I didn't add the extra salt the recipe mentioned either. I used young kale instead of cabbage. Next time will scramble an egg with the kale and spam.

Honey-Garlic Pork Ribs

These were not good at all. A waste of money and ribs. The marinade made the ribs have a rubber like texture. They ended up tasting like overly sweet pork on a bone. Never again.....

Good Old Meat Pie

This was just okay, but a great starter recipe, don't be afraid to try it. For us the oregano overwhelmed the pie, leaving it out next time. Added mushrooms. Probably more veggies too.

Tasty Lentil Tacos

At hit for this meat eater. I used beef broth, not chicken. Next time I will use a high quality salsa, not store brand or just have it one the side. I don't think you really need the salsa mixed in. Makes more than 6 servings(which is a good thing), will try the leftovers for lunch. Will make these again and again******! Lentils? Have heard about them for years. Who would have thunk it?

Baked Salmon II

I appericate this recipe and another one I found on this site with the idea of cooking in foil. Not being a fan of salmon (except smoked and with a beer) this recipe makes my weekly salmon dinner okay to deal with. Do cut the oil to 4 TBLS., everything else the same

If I do try this again I will dice up the eggplant instead of cubes and add a pinch of hot pepper flakes. Maybe press some cornmeal into the crust.

Crab Crusted Grouper
