I have this exact same recipefrom my mom from the sixties, I don't know where it originated but this recipe is the best! The icing in the old newspaper clipping is referred to as "Ermin Icing". I was going to pass this on, but now I don't have to. Kudos to you Eleanor, people will love this.

THis is SO GOOD!!! My mom saw a picture of a lemonade pie (she is suffering with cancer) So I came to my favorite place to find a recipe. So glad I did! Very simple, and very very good! However don't make the mistake I did, I used a mixer for my "trial" pie and a mixer simply will not work, Follow the recipe directions and use the blender, makes all the difference. THanks so much for sharing. Mom loved this, and she can eat so little these days, it just made her day. WIll make over and over again!

Good Recipe. I omitted the ground pork, and ground beef and substituted sliced smoked sausage and beef stew cubes. Did not do the hickory BBQ sauce, just a regular BBQ sauce. These were the only changes I made , My family does'nt like ground meat in stews, and none of us like the hickory, but with these adaptations , it was great for us. Being in Brunswick Ga., the home of Brunswick Stew, this was a pretty good Recipe.
