Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread
This is a recipe that I found years ago and have been making ever since. When I saw it here I had to comment on how GREAT it is. When I bring this to a party or make for friends I make it following the recipe, but I make this bread WEEKLY for my family as a Healthy Breakfast Bread. I cut the sugar in half, subtitute 1/2 to 3/4 of the flour with whole wheat flour and use applesauce instead of oil. It's STILL GREAT!
