Artichoke Spinach Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
I rated this recipe as a 4 because I was not big on the Rosemary in it, but, my husband really liked it. Tonight I decided to make it again but I did things a little differently since I didn't have spinach. I sauteed the onion and garlic in about 1TBLSP of the artichoke marinade. I then added the artichokes, added 1 can of diced tomatoes and 1 29oz can of tomato sauce. I added basil, oregano, parsley, and some white sugar. I also added 1/2 cup of water in place of the vegetable broth because I didn't have any. I alternated the tomato sauce with the noodles, mozarella cheese, and parmesan cheese. I didn't have any feta cheese either. It turned out awesome! My husband and my 2 kids ages 2 and 4 devoured it. I know this is a little bit different of a recipe but this was a great base to start from. Thanks for the recipe!!

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2008
These were amazing! The smell in my house while they were cooking was fantastic. I made a cream cheese frosting/glaze to put over the cookies and added a little cinnamon to it. These are a definite favorite and will become a regular for my Christmas cookie exchange. Thanks for sharing!!

Baked Pineapple Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
This is awesome!! My Grandma used to make this when I was a kid and I always wondered how she did it. I cna't imagine not using the cinnamon and nutmeg. It really adds to the casserole. I've made this for friends and family and it disappears. Thanks for this recipe!!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
Loved this recipe! I did read other reviews and did make some adjustments that others made. I used half brown sugar and half white sugar, 1 can of crushed pineapple without the juice, and added an extra teaspoon of cinnamon. I think this cake is probably great without adding these things and I agree with one reviewer that you should rate the recipe as is without adding substitutions, but, I love pineapple and thought it would add to the moistness of the cake. I made this for friends as a trial to a bridal shower cake I am making this weekend and it was a big hit. Thanks for the recipe!!

Lemon Raspberry White Chocolate Mousse Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
I have not made the cake portion of this recipe but I have used the raspberry white chocolate mousse as a filling for a chocolate cake. This is absolutely amazing. I did some substitutions based on other reviewers. I added 1 tsp. orange extract and a Tbls. or 2 of sugar to the raspberry puree to sweeten and I also added a box of vanilla pudding mix to the mousse as a stabilizer. I added the raspberry mixture to the white chocolate mousse and used it for a chocolate cake filling. It was amazing. I received tons of compliments and the cake literally disappeared. I have also substituted a lemon filling with the white chocolate mousse as a lemon cake filling and it is incredible. The lemon filling is from a lemon cake recipe on this site as well. I get requests for the lemom cake with the lemon filling all the time. Thank you so much for this recipe. It has been a great help in my cake making business.

Chicken Breasts Pierre

This is fantastic!! My husband loves it! He doesn't usually remember the names of the different recipes I make but he specifically asks for this by name. One of the best chicken dishes I have ever had. My husband likes to add a few dashes of curry to make it taste like an Indian dish. Thanks so much for the recipe!!

White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

This is the best cookie I have ever tasted. I used orange extract in place of the brandy. The orange and cranberry make these cookies unbelievable. Thanks Diane for the recipe!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2007
I love these muffins, but I am trying to watch my fat and calories these days so I substituted cinnamon applesauce for the oil and mixed brown sugar and cinnamon and used that as the topping. They turned out awesome! Using applesauce cut the calories down to around 125calories and about 1 gram of fat per muffin.

Kung Pao Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2007
This recipe was fantastic! My husband and I are trying to eat healthier so I changed a few things. I only used 1TBLSP of Sesame Seed oil for the whole recipe. I omitted the water chestnuts and peanuts and put in 1/2 tsp of reduced fat peanut butter. I didn't have chile paste so I used 1TBLSP Red Pepper Sauce and 1/2TBLSP of crushed red pepper flakes. We served it over brown rice. This turned out absolutely incredible. My husband loves Chinese food and said he thought it was the best Kung Pao Chicken he has ever had. This will be a staple at my house. Thanks for the recipe!!

Iowa Pork Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
My husband and I absolutely loved this recipe. I've always had trouble with pork being too dry, but this was fantastic. It came right off the bone. I used 1 can of condensed cream of mushroom soup and 1 can of the golden cream of mushroom soup. I made mashed potatoes and used it as a gravy like one of the other reviewers suggested. We loved it. I definitely will make this over and over again. Thanks!

My husband and I really loved this dish. I didn't use tomato paste because I didn't have any and I used brown sugar instead of white. It was great! I will definitely make this a regular in my house!
