Lori's Famous Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
I don't know what went wrong, but these didn't taste very good at all. I used Costco crab and just didn't like the taste of the cakes. My husband said they were pretty good, but I won't be making these again.

Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2009
This was very tasty. Like other reviewers, I opted not to bake the chicken. I dredged pieces of chicken in flour and then sauteed them in a little bit of oil to get them nice and brown. I also added a bell pepper and some onion. I'll definitely make this again! My husband and my mom loved it!

Macaroni and Cheese with Veggie Bacon

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2009
This recipe is AWESOME! I had been looking for a good mac & cheese recipe that didn't call for Velveeta or bread crumbs, and this one is perfect. It was creamy and delicious. Instead of the bacon, I added grilled chicken and steamed broccoli. I will definitely be making this again.

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
This is an awesome marinade. I've found that even after marinating chicken, it can still be a little bland after it's grilled and many times, it needs BBQ sauce. Not the case with this marinade. The chicken was delicious on its own! I didn't have time to marinate it for very long, but it was still way yummy.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

This is AWESOME alfredo sauce! I made it for a family gathering and everyone loved it. The only addition I made was adding a dash of nutmeg. Try this. You'll love it!

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
This is a YUMMY baked beans recipe! My father-in-law, who loves baked beans and is a baked beans guru, LOVED them. Based on other suggestions, I omitted the garbanzo beans and I also omitted the northern beans and just added more kidney and baked. I also cooked the bacon in the microwave (I don't like to cook it on the stove) and everything still turned out way yummy! Next time, I might add a bell pepper for some extra crunch.

Penne with Chicken and Asparagus

Reviewed: May 14, 2009
This was a pretty good recipe. I added mushrooms, as suggested by other reviewers. I found it a little bland, so I sprinkled a little Cajun seasoning on top and it was yummy! It was especially yummy the next day. I'd make this again and will continue to add seasoning cuz it's just too bland without it. I like my food to burst with flavor!

Rosemary-Scented Pork Loin Stuffed With Roasted Garlic, Dried Apricots and Cranberries and Port Wine Pan Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2009
This is a delicious recipe! My mom wanted me to find a recipe for pork loin, so I found this one and she made it. The pork was so moist and the sauce was delicious! The only problem is that the sauce started to burn early on, so I would recommend waiting to add the apple jelly mixture until later so it won't burn.

Turkey Breast with Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
This was delicious! Like others suggested, I would recommend adding a cup of chicken broth (and I added a little white wine) to the bottom of the pan, as there is little to baste with otherwise. The turkey turned out very moist and yummy and I'll definitely be using this recipe again!

Steak Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
I make this recipe often and it is delicious and very versatile. I have substituted chicken and chicken bouillon for the beef and beef bouillon and it is just as tasty. For the veggies, I often just use the frozen stir-fry veggie mix from Costco and it's delicious!

We LOVED this recipe! My sister-in-law and I both made it for our families and they all raved about it! The only change I made was, like others, I replaced the chili powder with taco seasoning. I'll definitely be making this again!

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2007
AWESOME recipe! I made this for the first time tonight and loved how easy it was to make and how delicious it was! I just added a little garlic powder to each side to give it a little more flavor. Next time I might add a drizzle of lemon to each chop, but it's YUMMY as is!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2006
YUM, YUM, YUM! This soup was AWESOME! We bought a roast chicken at Costco and used it all for the soup. This makes a very hearty and delicious meal. We liked all the chicken we used, but will probably add another box of wild rice next time to make up for it. Will definitely make this one of our usuals!

Kelly's Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2006
I gave this chili 3 stars because I like the concept of it. I like the chicken and corn and it makes a very hearty chili. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars, though, is because it is EXTREMELY spicy. My husband and I had to add 2 or 3 dollops of sour cream to our bowls because it was just too much. I think the tbsp. of pepper is a mis-print, because my mom said in all her 50 years of cooking, she has never seen a recipe that calls for that much pepper! Next time I make this I will SIGNIFICANTLY reduce the amount of pepper and probably the chili powder as well.
